Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place in central location for optimal coverage.

  1. Connect to modem: Use Ethernet cable from modem to WAN port.
  2. Connect wired devices: Use LAN ports for computers, gaming consoles, etc.
  3. Power on router: Connect power adapter and plug into outlet.
  4. Wait for initialization: Allow 1-2 minutes for router to boot up.

WARNING! Ensure proper ventilation; do not block vents. Keep away from heat sources.

First-Time Setup

Access web interface for initial configuration.

  1. Connect to router: Use Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable to connect.
  2. Open browser: Navigate to http://dlinkrouter.local or 192.168.0.1
  3. Run setup wizard: Follow on-screen instructions for internet setup.
  4. Configure wireless: Set SSID and password for 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.
  5. Set admin password: Create secure administrator password.

  3. WPS connection: Press WPS button on router, then activate WPS on device within 2 minutes.
  4. USB devices: Connect storage or printer to USB port for network sharing.

Tip: For best performance, connect gaming consoles and streaming devices via Ethernet.

Wireless Configuration

Dual-band operation with separate 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks.

  1. Access wireless settings: Log into web interface and navigate to Wireless section.
  2. Configure 2.4GHz: Set SSID, security (WPA2-Personal), and password.
  3. Configure 5GHz: Set different SSID or enable band steering.
